GAD Gallery
Gad Gallery is located in Oslo, Norway. The gallery is developed by a Norwegian architect firm MMW. The purpose of the project is to build a temporary building that can be easily assembled and can be moved to another location. The gallery was built using ten shipping containers that form 3 stories and a rooftop area. 5 units of a 20-foot container for sale are placed on a ground floor and 3 units of a 40-foot container for sale are used to form a U-shape around the central courtyard while 2 units of 40 foot container complete the 3rd level, an exhibition space with access to the rooftop area. All of the containers that were used are insulated and covered with sheets of plywood with white paint.
Using a shipping container as the main material in building a space such a gallery, studio and showroom, it adds to the interesting aspect of the product that you showcase.
